GHRC Chat Room on the IRC

The IRC is the Internet Relay Chat.  In use on the Internet since 1988, IRC is still a popular way to have live chats.  In the past, there have been many web-based chats - but web servers can be sluggish and many hosts won't provide web-based chats any longer.

We have setup a channel on the IRC just for the Gallatin Ham Radio Club.  Remember - because it's on the IRC, it's open to everyone.

If you already have IRC software, like mIRC, XChat or Chatzilla (a firefox plugin), the information below will get you logged on.  If you do not, you can install one of them OR you can use the free WEB interface here:
http://www.mibbit.com/ and the information below to log on.

Also, you can try using our Mibbit web-based chat client below.  Everything is done for you, just come up with a nickname and click "click to join chatroom".  If you have trouble with the nickname, try your name and call together, all one word like this:   EdwardW7ED
